Rhodes, Greece
October 13-15, 2011

This year’s Client Conference was held on Rhodes, Greece, where more than 75 representatives from the largest and most innovative banks and financial organizations from Asia Pacific, Europe, MEA and Russia/CIS were in attendance. Anatoly Loginov opened the meeting, highlighting BPC’s continued commitment to its clients and sharing the results from 2010, which had been a record year for the company.

BPC was glad to welcome key note spokespersons from expert consultancies, international research groups and clients to provide a range of entertaining and informative presentations.

Julian Treasure, Chairman of the Sound Agency fascinated the audience by demonstrating the effects that sound on us has as individuals as well as businesses. He illustrated his talk with many real life situations and included case studies from two banks that had used sound as part of their brand image.

Andrey Eramov gave an interesting overview and case study of a joint project the Bank had undertaken with BeeLine providing mobile phone customers to use the balances on their phone accounts to make payment transactions for goods and services in shops and the Internet. The underlying payment technology is SmartVista, of course.

The Chairman of PayFair, Stephan Becker illustrated the power of m-commerce and demonstrated intriguing technology that used sound to authenticate and authorize payment transactions.

Finally Andy Schmidt, Research Director at TowerGroup summarized the top ten innovations in the worldwide payments market over the last 12 months.

BPC’s managers gave a series of presentation. Vasily Grigoriev provided an overview of BPC’s future strategy and objectives. Evgeny Kozhin provided a very interesting summary of the enhancements made to SmartVista this year and then took the delegates through the additional features and functions planned for 2012 and beyond. Tokhir Abdukadyrov reminded the Conference of the feedback that had been provided through the Client Workshops in 2011 and detailed the changes and improvements that had been made as a result. In support was Sergey Tereshin who illustrated the concrete implementation in Asia Pacific of a number of the points raised by clients last year

Client Workshops were run again this year and gave the delegates an opportunity to meet as a group of customers without BPC, to discuss their thoughts on the Company and how it is able to help serve the customers better. In a later plenary session spokespeople for the workshop attendees provided a number of suggestions on new product and service features as well as improvements in BPC’s professional services.
